VIP Night at Stafford and Car Show at ACC
Asnuntuck Community College and Hayes Racing Group will be sponsoring the college’s inaugural car show on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Asnuntuck is a partner with the Hayes Racing Group for their #9 NASCAR Limited Late Model car that races at Stafford Motor Speedway.
The free show, to be located on Asnuntuck’s front lawn, will feature the Hayes Racing Group’s new car, as well as other muscle cars, including Mark’s Auto Club. Asnuntuck’s fall 2011 marketing class did a full marketing analysis for the racing group and this semester ACC’s Advertising and Promotions class is working on promoting the inaugural car show. The day-long event will be geared for all ages. Advanced tickets to Stafford Motor Speedway will also be on sale at the show. Individual tickets will be sold for $13, with a two-pack priced at $25 and a four-pack available for $49. A percentage of the ticket price is being donated to Asnuntuck Community College’s Foundation for student scholarships. Asnuntuck Community College is located at 170 Elm St. in Enfield Connecticut.
The comedy movie “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and Disney’s animated film “Cars” will also be featured on the big screen in ACC’s auditorium and café 2 during the show with free popcorn being served.
The following weekend, on May 18th, join us for V.I.P. Night at the Speedway. Come enjoy a night of fast paced, exhilarating racing with all the fans at Stafford Motor Speedway. V.I.P's enjoy, designated seating, V.I.P. reception, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes & cash bar. Proceeds from the VIP Event will benefit ACC's Foundation providing Asnuntuck student scholarships. 1/5/12 It's been a while since our last update, hope the holidays were good and we wish you a Happy New Year.
The team has decided it's time to move up a division and run a Limited Late Model in 2012! We purchased a car last run during the 2010 season at Stafford. Car had a fresh motor that just needed a little refresh work but the chassis needs some serious updates which the team is working to complete. Car will be run as the #9 as the #6 is already being used in the division. Team would also like to welcome back Asnuntuck Community College as our primary partner/sponsor for the third consecutive year. We'll update the team news as the car progresses.
